Tommy Bohannon has spent twenty-seven years inside healthcare staffing, on every side of the work. Operator. Senior leader. Fractional COO. Independent advisor. Acquired employee, then the acquirer's executive. The range means there is not much in this sector he has not run, seen break, or been asked to fix.
His career began inside a firm that was acquired by what became a $5B publicly traded healthcare staffing enterprise. He stayed on post-close, ultimately rising to Vice President of Strategic Operations and Execution inside a ~$750M division. In that senior role he led strategy and operations across sales, sales enablement, delivery, account management, sales coordination, and the data and reporting teams supporting a high-volume physician and leadership placement business, and oversaw multiple acquisitions from diligence through full integration and rebranding. That career arc, across operations, strategy, integrations, and both sides of the acquisition table, informs how he structures and leads engagements today.
More recently, Tommy has served in a fractional COO capacity for an early-stage healthcare staffing startup, providing executive-level operational leadership across recruiting, process development, and technology buildout during a critical growth phase. He has also held a VP of Operations role with a UK-headquartered international healthcare staffing group operating delivery teams across South Africa and India, deepening his expertise in offshore staffing models, cross-cultural team leadership, and the complexity of globally distributed service delivery.
What that breadth produces is the instinct to read what is going to break before it does, and the discipline to build plans that hold up when they meet reality.
